Shure SM58 Dynamic Microphone
Hmmmm, yes, well. It's a Shure SM58 isn't it? Dynamic, cardioid pattern microphone, that just about everybody has or has had or has used at one time or another. It has no fancy bits, a removal shield so you can wash it off after some nasty singer has spat all over it, and a hole in the bottom where you put an XLR mic lead. No phantom power or nonsense, it's a dynamic mic.
It's normal, it's ubiquitous, it's trustworthy. The SM58a is supposed to be better, but who would question that this is a fantastically good workhorse? Not me.
