Neutrik Balanced Patchbay NYS-SPP
A decent quality 19" rackmount, 1u high, balanced patchbay which can be half normalised, split or fully isolated.
In half normal mode the signal patch goes in the back, out the back and out the front top when there's either no plugs in or just a plug in the top front. When there's a plug in the front top and bottom the the signal goes in the back out the top front in the bottom front and out the bottom back, just like a fully isolated bay.
Split mode means a signal presented to one input gets outputted to two outputs and fully isolated means there are no internal connections. Both of these are achieved by turning the assemblies over and using the inputs in accordance with the design printed on the top panel.
My patchbay has 1/4" jacks at the front and 1/4" jacks at the back too for ease of plugging, but you can hard wire in using solder on some models. All my connector gear, where possible is Neutrik. Very high quality robust gear, but a bit more expensive than some other stuff. Don't let cables and connectors be the weak link in your chain though!
